(More customer reviews)I live in an aprtment with a NW facing balcony, up in North Dakota. I had some concerns about getting enough sunlight for tomatoes, but went ahead and tried it out. What do you know, it worked OK! However... there were a couple of things I had to do to achive success.
I bought "determinate" type tomatoes. This is what the horticulturist at our local University told me to use. I'm not really sure what that means, but he has a PHD and I don't.
I used the "moisture control" potting soil. This helped with water retention. You will still need to fetrilize, due to the fact that there just isn't enough soil to support 3 good sizes tomato plants. I also used a copper soap based anti-disease spreay(Ortho)to fight off blight and rot.
I would water the plants every morning, and when I did I would rotate the tree by 1/3 to expose annother plant to direct sunlight (my porch only gets 4-6 hours of it a day). I would not reccomend this product to anyone who can't afford to really give it the attention it needs. if you go 3-4 days between waterings, the plants have a good chance of dying. Water 1-2 times a day, depending on your direct sunlight level.
Stick to the 3 plant plan, as I said before, there just isn't enough soil. I did not have any issues with the fabric bag as others seemed to have. This might be due to soil/water acidity, I don't know. The sponge plant retainers did get torn up due to small roots growing into them, but I can replace those with a suitable substitue.
I am looking forward to growing again this year! Hope this helped!

(More customer reviews)These are really nice. Sturdy and made of vinyl so they can't rust. (Not sure what the previous reviewer was reviewing but it sure wasn't these!) The only drawback is that if you leave them on all the time you'll have to change the batteries after about a year of use. Other than that they're totally maintenance free and look great even after being out in the Florida sun for nearly two years.

PROS: It is very convenient to be able to store six ZIPWALL poles/accessories in one carrying case. The monogramming does help to quickly identify the product when setting up worksites. The full-length zipper makes it easy to quickly remove the contents. CONS: The carrying case should have been contructed of heavier fabric and stitching as it will be subjected to worksite abuse. The product was somewhat overpriced considering it is made in China.

On it's first use which just happened to be today the spring loaded foot gave way, my laser hit the floor and 2 of the cheap glue joints on the pole came apart. This is truly a cheap piece of junk that will not stay in my tool inventory.

(More customer reviews)For some reason, they do not want to provide many details about this product. So I'll fill in the blanks. The maximum weight limit is 70 pounds. The blue body is made out of steel. The top and bottom plates, and the squeeze handle are made out of plastic. There is a non-marring rubber pad on both the top and bottom plates. The plates swivel on a plastic ball joint. The total shipping weight is 13 pounds. Made in China. Overall I'm quite happy with it. The reason I gave it 4 stars is I'm not sure how long the plastic ball joints are going to last. Time will tell.

Droll Yankees DCH Adjustable Deck Clamp & 16-Inch Hanger Arm Review

(More customer reviews)For a bird feeder and over a 3.75 in deck railing that you don't want to screw into, this is the only product I have found that can do the job. There are some downsides (reason for the 3 *s:
- More expensive than most other deck clamps available.
- Don't hope to put anything other than a bird feeder on it. Plants are just too heavy for the clamp. It might help to use the optional screw to secure the pole, but if I wanted to screw something into my deck, I wouldn't have bought a clamp!
- Hook section attaches onto straight pole and can turn in a strong wind.
I don't know if I can recommend this product, but if you have no other options (like me), it might be your best bet.

Sunforce 81096 Solar Shed Light Review

(More customer reviews)When the factory-charged batteries ran out the solar panel would not charge the light. This was a fluorescent version. The replacement unit- quickly sent by Amazon -was LED. The same case and everything but with bright LEDs inside. I liked it much better than the fluorescent one.
The second unit charged and worked very well until the charge was depleted. Then the LEDs would start blinking. Like an emergency light. Sunforce said that this was not normal behavior. I returned it as well. The light will stay up for around two hours, charge quickly but the blinking made it unfit for continuous use. A nice product but quallity needs to be improved.
