(More customer reviews)Easy to wire, quality product. Be aware that the knob has a short shaft, however. In my case, the floor lamp in which I was installing this socket had a decorative housing in which the socket was set, and there was a one or two inch gap between the socket itself and this housing. The lamp manufacturer dealt with this by having a long knob on the existing socket which I was replacing. As a result, I had to construct an extension to the knob on this dimmer socket in order to fit through the lamp housing. If your lamp has a housing around the socket, be aware of the possibility that you will have to similarly fiddle with the knob to this dimmer, or construct an extension as I did.
