Fiskars 9634 Power-Lever Bypass Pruner Review

Fiskars 9634 Power-Lever Bypass Pruner

Pruning is a snap with these pruners by Fiskar. I lost a lot of my gripping power in my pruning hand due to an injury and I have no trouble using these pruners. For larger limbs reaching the cutting capacity of this pruner, I simply begin the cut and rock the cutters as I squeeze, I also like the way they fit my small hand which is not to say that large hands would not be comfortable too. I love these pruners so much that when I lost my first pair, I did not hesitate to replace them with another.

The Fiskars PowerLever bypass pruner features Fiskars' patented PowerLever technology, which increases cutting power by 35 percent. The slim, but strong tool will fit nicely into an apron or pants pocket when not in use, and can easily cut branches up to 3/4-inches in diameter. It sports an ideal blade length for precision cutting and maneuvering through dense growth, aEuropean grip design that's sized for both small and medium hands, and a handle design that allows for both left and right-handed use. The blade includes a locking mechanism that helps prevent accidents as well as provides for easy transportation. Additionally, the bypass pruner allows for precise, clean cuts as the hook contacts only one side of the cut, causing less plant damage.

Stanley 77-189 FatMax PB2 Self-Leveling Laser Plumb Bob Review

Stanley 77-189 FatMax PB2 Self-Leveling Laser Plumb Bob
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this originally to use while installing a suspended ceiling to layout for the anchor wires. Working by myself, I could mark out where the anchors should go on the floor with chalk and just walk around with the laser plumb bob. It didn't eliminate the trips up and down the ladder, but it saved me from having to try and plumb down from the ceiling and waiting for the old fashioned bob to quit swinging or trying to level a pole in two dimensions.
Next job was constructing walls in an existing office space. I laid out where the bottom track (steel framing) would be going and plumbed up to the overhead with the Stanley. I have no complaints about its accuracy, Its so simple I would think unless it was defective from the manufacturer, it would have to be plumb. Battery life seems very good, still going on the same original batteries. I thought (and still think) it is overpriced at $90, I did feel a bit of buyer's remorse, but if I needed to replace it, I would buy another without hesitation. I don't believe there is anything else out there that will do the same thing so painlessly. Just set it down and look at the dot on the ceiling. It seems reasonably well constructed and tough enough to handle some short drops and getting knocked around a bit.

Stanley 77-153 CL2 FatMax Cross Line Laser Review

Stanley 77-153 CL2 FatMax Cross Line Laser
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
I bought this self-leveling laser line "projector" yesterday since I am starting to build my own kitchen cabinets. My floors and walls are not perfcctly level or plumb so I needed a fast reference line to measure to. What a dream this tool is. Just place it on the floor or a counter, aim it where you want a line, turn it on and a perfectly horzontal line splashes across the wall, regardless of what it is sitting on. Hit the button again and a vertical line gets projected. Hit the button again and cross-hairs appear with both horizontal and vertical lines. Hit the button again and the cross-hairs lock and you can tilt the tool to a desired tilt. I calibrated it against a plumb-bob on the vertical and it's bang on. The only draw-back I can see for pros may be the range of the laser - pretty weak beyond 25' and outside is weak also beyond 10 feet depending on the brightness of the day. Provides a very wide angle of projection (maybe about 120°)

Pros: Just as advertised. Easy to read and photograph numbers. Tape pull out feature is very handy.
Con: Be mindful that the small increments are 1/10 of a foot, NOT inches. Inconvenient for forensic photographs.

Stanley 77-188 S2 Laser Level Square Review

Stanley 77-188 S2 Laser Level Square
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
PROS: I have used this several times to hang up painting, pictures, wall shelves, etc. The levels and 90 degree lasers really help line things up. It has a sort of protractor on it for angles. There is a model above this with more accurate lasers but it cost significantly more. I think this one should take care of most jobs around the house.
CONS: I kinda don't like the sticky putty stuff (to hold up device on its own on the wall). They work, but I don't know for how long. I am assuming at some point, they will lose their stickiness. Without the putty, it becomes a 2-person job for long distances. But that's not that big of a deal. It would be nice if it was a little smaller, but once again not a deal breaker.

Bayco LBC-600SDL Bulb Changer Kit/Pole Review

Bayco LBC-600SDL Bulb Changer Kit/Pole
Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)
My house has a high ceiling with par20 bulbs and outdoor lamps with par 30 long necks. I have had no major problems with this kit. It works as stated. Unfortunately I wish the kit came with a broken lightbulb adapter or CFL bulb adapter, but it's a minor quibble. The other adapters can be bought seperately, which I think I'll do later.
