Had to push really hard to just get one side of the product around the bulb. Didn't go any further in fear of breaking bulb. Would not recommend.
Bought a step ladder for the same price.....worked.

(More customer reviews)This works as advertised. I have used it to replace some flood lights in my high ceiling. My kit came with a pole that telescopes in three sections, but you could use a regular broom handle if your ceiling isn't too tall. To replace the bulb, you push the changer up over the bulb -- the arms spring around it -- and then twist it off. Put the new bulb into the changer, twist it in, and then wiggle the changer loose with a side to side motion.
But it gets better. I've found other uses for it -- this year we had a bumper crop of apricots on our backyard tree and we used the flood light attachment to pick fruit from the taller branches. The basket shape of the flood light changer was perfect for catching the fruit! We put the changer under the fruit and gave it slight tug -- if the fruit was ripe, it would fall gently into the changer's basket. We tried to keep the fruit on the tree as long as possible, and this was really great.
Tonight, I even adapted the kit to change the 9v battery in my smoke alarm! I strapped a magnet to the pole with velcro and used another pole I have to help push it into position and close the door.

(More customer reviews)I bought this to change the flood lights that are over 13 ft high outside the house. Changing them has always been difficult, and one I have not been able to get to because its over a bed with hedge underneath making it impossible to use a conventional ladder.
I had seen the Bayco product at a store, and dismissed it as a gimmick thinking that anything that costs as little as what it does is probably useless for the larger flood lights.
I went ahead it purchased this last week despite my doubts, opened it, added the right attachment waiting to find that it will fail (sorry, been burned by too many cheap products that I have sent back to the retailer) and won't rotate the existing bulb in.
To my surprise, it generated sufficient torque and the grip provided the right control to remove the old bulb and change it and put a new one.
I ended up replacing all my flood lights with the new longer lasting energy saver type that lasts 8,000 hours. I will unlikely be replacing my flood lights again in the future (because of the long life) , so the device is probably now going to be used more for cleaning fans (it has an attachment for that).

(More customer reviews)My house has a high ceiling with par20 bulbs and outdoor lamps with par 30 long necks. I have had no major problems with this kit. It works as stated. Unfortunately I wish the kit came with a broken lightbulb adapter or CFL bulb adapter, but it's a minor quibble. The other adapters can be bought seperately, which I think I'll do later.
