(More customer reviews)First, for the reviewer who did not like the 'hollow' clicking sound, that is the authentic, original sound of this type of switch. I had original push-buttons in my 1907 home and recall this annoying noise distinctly. The reproduction dimmer switches do NOT make this sound, however, which is why I pay the extra money and buy dimmer push-buttons for my new installations in closets and places the house never had electrical switches before. The reviewer HAD to have been referring to the single-pole non-dimmer, which is the only one in the product line to make the loud sound. - - - I have used these throughout my house, in addition to my old, original switches. They look good, operate well, fit in standard US boxes, with the exception of side-by-side applications of dimmers. The 'fins' are too wide for more than one dimmer in a box, but a call to the company taught me the 'fins' can be cut off (which they will do for a small fee if you order directly from their website) and the dimmers fit fine and don't lose their integrity. I have one box with six dimmers side by side, using the original 1907 box. - - Yes, the quality feels a bit light, but all electrical components are lighter and most are made in China these days. If you want old, heavy originals, you can find them on Ebay, but you MUST have an electrician test and refurbish them, if needed. Several of my hundred year old originals sparked every time they were used and this was just too scary for my taste. - Lastly, the company website has a much wider array of products than amazon is showing, with additional switch options and higher wattage-capacity switches, switch covers and other items for old houses.
