(More customer reviews)I thought I would be able to use one of these centered between two doors (they provide two small strikes as well as the one large one for this purpose,) but there was not enough holding power, and on one catch one side was noticably weaker than the other.
This catch is described as having a "strong hold," but even using the whole catch for one door, it is about the same strenth as the single magnet two bar type typically found at a hardware or home improvement store. I'm comparing it side by side, not from memory, and I have worked as an installer. With four magnets and six bars I think it was reasonable to expect some real holding power.
