(More customer reviews)I believe the genre of "electronic dimmers" is nothing more than a means to take more of our money.
So far I have visited 4 of the largest manufacturers of transformers' websites (Canada and USA) and emailed back and forth with one of them. All of them say the same thing, you don't need an electronic dimmer for low voltage applications, a standard dimmer is fine. So far I've gone for 15 years with standard dimmers but, since we're doing a ton of lighting work on the house I thought I would make sure it was ok to keep using standard dimmers. It is.
Remember, your altering the voltage on the high side, not the 12v side. Just like any incandescent light.
