Aube by Honeywell TH106/U Electric Heating 7-Day Programmable Thermostat Review
Average Reviews:
(More customer reviews)I bought this thermostat for my den, which has electric baseboard heat. The original thermostat looked like it was 30 years old; instead of a dial with temperatures, it had one ranging from 0 to 4. Getting the room to a comfortable temperature was impossible.
This thermostat is simple to use and is VERY good at keeping the temperature steady. It is also silent. Programming it is pretty straightforward. I should mention that you cannot set completely distinct temperatures for each time of day. You basically enter a warn daytime temp and a cooler night temp. When programming, you decide which of the two temps to use during each period of the day. This limitation actually makes it simpler to program and works well for me.
The only feature that is missed is a back-light.
Pros:
Holds temperature steady
Silent operation
7-day programmable (vs 5-2)
Cons:
No Back-light
