(More customer reviews)Another reviewer complained that there was no handle. I think this was a little harsh - no handle is shown in the photo and who would expect one for $20?
I already have an extension pole and I just needed a head for the roof rake. I was ready to try to cobble one together myself. This unit perfectly fits the threads on my pole. It is lightweight aluminum so it is not tiring to lift it up to the roof. I have not used it yet but it really seems well constructed and reinforced. I expect it to work very well for me.

(More customer reviews)I bought these to add a couple of feet to my Garelick #89416 16' L Roof Snow Rake and to give me a little bit more angle at the blade end since when I rake the rear roof of my condo, I can't see the roof itself. Each section is about 12 inches; something which was not in the description when I bought this item. Without the additional angle, the handle of my rake would be hitting the edge of the roof before the blade touched the snow. This was the perfect addition to my snow rake for my situation.

(More customer reviews)I just had a new shingled roof put on last summer, so I wanted to make sure that I got a rake that would not damage it when removing snow. I live in the mountains of Maine, so snow is a pretty common event during the winter. After reading the reveiws of this rake, I decided that this would be the best rake for the job. The first thing I did before I assembled it was, replace the nuts, bolts, and washers with stainless steel. This costs less than $4. Some of the other reveiws complained of the originals. Cheap Fix! After using it a half dozen times, I can say that I made the right choice for a rake. Very well built, lightweight, and rugged! I would like to point out that, The proper way to roof rake is NOT to wait until you get three feet of snow accumulation,from several storms, with ice dams already present. If you use this rake the way it is intended, It should last a lifetime.

(More customer reviews)I recently purchased this item in an attempt to prevent further ice dam issues I was having with the heavy Wisconsin snow of the winter of '07-'08. This product was in the range of the best price I was able to find. It worked very well to rake pretty much all of my back roof (~9' high at gutter) and the extensions were enough to get the important first 5' of my front roof (~15' high at gutter). It also has the nice rollers to protect shingles and is constructed of aluminum making it light in weight and rust free. If you have ice dam problems or a persistent large amount of snow on your roof a roof rake is essential. Please note that it does not include tarp thing to pull snow away from foundation, if that's important to you.

Particularly liked the design with 2 supporting brackets attached from the shovel to the handle. The rake worked as hoped, light-weight but sturdy and a good length. Also pliable enough to bend to the contour of my (addition) roof.
Have used it twice so far and it it very well made, I am confident of its quality. Buy with confidence.

(More customer reviews)The product is OK. It's the vendor & Amazon.com I have a problem with. The product is extension poles for a roof rake. I ordered this through Amazon.com. The problem is the rake was being supplied by one vendor & the poles by another. This is the way Amazon does it. The rake was not in stock so I cancelled the order with the vendor. That was no problem. I tried cancelling the order with the pole vendor but they would not cancel the order even though it took them over a week to ship them. Now I have extension poles to a roof rake I do not have.
I will not do business with Amazon.com again!
