Tricod Stainless Steel Hexagon 3 LED Solar Light, Pack of 2 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)These are NOT stainless steel, but rather cheap chrome coated plastic. Both arrived with the internal lights detached and had to be opened and re-attached. Opening them up, the very poor quality was even more apparent, with sloppy glue, wires that went tightly over the battery and screws that strip very easily in the soft plastic. I had purchased these to replace to 5 year old Malibu solar lanterns (each with a single LED light and made of metal). However, despite the three LEDs in these Tricod lights, the older Malibu were still much brighter. I then decided to keep the Malibu and move the Tricods to another location. In moving them, one broke because of the cheap plastic, and within a week, the other stopped working (I am guessing they don't stand up to rain very well; so much for outdoor lights). Complete junk!

Gamasonic GS-94S 7-Foot Tall Victorian Solar Lamp Post with One Head and LED Light, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)This lamp works and is OK. The big negative (and it is a BIG one) is that you have to unscrew and remove the top of the lamp to get access to the on/off switch. There is no reason for this to be built that way, they just got lazy. It have it in my backyard now and it is a HUGE pain to have to go outside with a screwdriver and take the lamp apart just to turn it on or off. Very poor design.

Heath Zenith SL-4160-AB-B Motion-Activated Six-Sided Coach Light, Antique Brass with Clear Beveled Glass Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Very nice looking unit with good instructions and everything you need included in the box. The motion detection works well but I do wish I could angle the sensor downward because the mounting location on my house is a little high. Great looking unit, very nice fit and finish and puts out plenty of light with a 100 watt bulb.
The antique brass finish is quite nice. This unit comes with a little pole you can add to the bottom to give a more regal look. Instructions are very well written and it's super easy to change the settings because the switches are on the base and it's easy to read the markings. Similar units seem to cost a lot more at the hardware store so I thought this was a good buy for the money. My only regret is that I didn't buy two, will be adding one to my next order though.

A motion-activated porch light sounds like a good idea, but the awkward and bulky appearance of most motion-sensing arrays have made this an uninviting option for most homeowners. However, Heath Zenith's coach-style lantern allows you to take advantage of the convenience and energy efficiency of a motion-activated porch light without sacrificing aesthetics.
This unit detects motion in a 150-degree radius with a range of up to 30 feet. You can set the light timer to one, five, or ten minutes. The discreetly hidden motion sensor may be rotated to target a certain area and may be adjusted to give you more or less sensitivity (so it doesn't light up every time a car drives by). The attractive, weather-resistant antique brass finish means it's going to look good for a while, too. If you're looking to save a little money on lighting your porch by installing a motion-detector, this is a great option that actually looks good. Requires one incandescent bulb of up to 100 watts (not included).--Josh Dettweiler

Pine Top 511-0007 Plastic Post Cap Light, White Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I put two of these solar post top lights at the beginning of a newly refurbished composite covered deck tied to my barn. It is barn red and white, the deck is grey and the railings are white. The lights work really well for seeing the step up in the dark and the glow they provide washes over more of the deck showing off the improvements. They last most of the night though on cloudy days they have a shorter life; but they do always make it through the evening. I saw one similar to this on the cap of a stair rail and really liked what it did. I compared what was available in the big box stores and these are better looking, better built and half the price. They also come with post adaptors for the different size posts used which, in my case, was real valuable. If I find another application I will get more of these.

Moonrays 91249 Solar Powered Plastic Post Cap Lamp Light, Black Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)I purchased 35 of these. I would probably do so again because at 30% of the cost of the other Solar post top options its a good deal and when you multiply that by 35 its makes a big difference. Pros are the cost and they do look good. Cons are that they are all plastic and in the first month 20% of them have failed. I plan to not screw them in tightly untill I know which ones are bad and keep returning them untill I get a set of 35 that work well. I havent tested the return process yet and that will determine my final rating (0 stars to 3.5 or so).

Tricod Set of 4 Stainless Steel Pole Solar Light, Pack of 4 Review

Average Reviews:

(More customer reviews)Picture and product don't match up. These lights are cheap for lack of a worst word. They light up but are not the same color, bought two boxes and three have a different light. The light is weak, they do go on as described. So this may be a product that you need to buy in person.
