It has been in continuous opperation since then with no loss of fish since it was installed. Today I had to replace the woven perimiter cord because of continuity breaks due to rust at the cotter pin holders.
April 2010, An update, I changed the cotter pin attachments to nylon zip connectors and resolved the rusting problem.
Very succesful and a great product.
April 2010. An update on this product. 2 more years have gone by and the unit still works as new. The perimiter cord does need to be changed every year or two to keep the unit working at peak performance. I bought a bulk roll of electric fence cord and keep it on hand.

Trail Blazer SSW-18 18-Inch Sawvivor Collapsible Saw Review

(More customer reviews)This saw weighed 9.5 oz. on my scale and 13 oz. with an extra blade and cordura sheath, 15.5" of cutting teeth on the blade and the inside frame measures 16" end to end, I measure 5.25" cutting depth--a bit more than the spec says, it sets up quickly and saws good.
I rounded the corners on the blades with a dremel tool and later other areas of the saw also got some file and dremel work to take off sharp edges so I can do away with the sheath without endangering other gear in my pack.
Spring steel strips inside the main tube pinch the stored blades tightly as you slide them in so they don't rattle around.
It's getting dents on the two down pieces where they contacts the main back piece when unfolded; I may be tightening the blade too much but tough sawing will still spring the blade off.
After a dozen or so campfires it got banged a little by a dropping branch that I sawed through and I can't tension the blade now, though I can't find any sign of damage on it, so it's back to my tough old 21" Sven saw that's seen 50x the work of the sawvivor with no damage. I may fix the sawvivor later but it's lightweight construction comes with a light-duty rating that I'll no doubt violate many times when camping so it certainly won't be going on winter outings where a campfire is fairly important.

These are high quality plastic framed glasses with hard lenses (not cardboard). The lenses are RED & CYAN color and are for use with the home 3D version of the home DVD Polar Express or any other 3D DVDs that require RED/CYAN lenses (such as Hannah Montanah).These glasses will NOT work in the movie theaters nor with movies that require magenta/green lenses. 1. The battery replacement cover is on the front (you do not have to take out the whole unit or take screw out to replace batteries
2. The 1 touch backlight is very convenient to look things up at night
3. The ability to program the device off the wall while sitting down comfortably with the manual and pieces of paper is convenient
4. The one touch feature to tell the device that you home for the day wthout other intervention is convenient.
other than that, what can I say? it works!

Sunforce 45455 Wind Generator 30' Tower Kit Review

(More customer reviews)I got this tower kit when I invested in the Sunforce 44447 wind turbine. Installing the tower kit is where the time is compared to installing the actual turbine, but it is really very simple. It is a lot like putting up a field antenna, which I had plenty of practice doing in the Army many years ago. You don't need any special tools. The most specialized tool you need is a socket wrench. The manual is excellent. The following is my experience.
First you secure the base to the ground - that's where the tower will stand. Then you measure where the 4 guideposts will go and drive their anchors into the ground at a 45 degree angle to the base to secure it. Take it easy the first time you drive the anchors into the ground because it's likely you'll have to move them later in the setup as I did. You lay out the pipe sections, slide the guide hangars onto the correct places (they connect to guideposts), run the transmission wire through the pipe, fasten the pipe and secure the pipe to the tower base. The part you don't want to skimp on is raising the tower to make sure the guide wires are ok or if they need to be adjusted. Unless you install wind turbines frequently, they probably need to be adjusted. So you make your adjustments and re-anchor the guideposts, this time driving the anchors all the way in except for the 5 inches that stay above ground. You do all this before attempting to install the turbine.
Finally you make the electrical connection to the turbine and wrap with electrical tape as with every turbine. Then you slide the turbine onto the tower, tighten the bolts, install the blades and raise the tower. You can do all this with 2 people. It is satifying work because you know you're doing a good thing for your property, for your physical security in the event the power grid temporarily goes down, for the environment and possibly for economic gain if you are allowed to sell excess power back into the grid.

We cut it in half to about 3'5" tall, then staked it with some rebar around the edges. We also used the extra to make a compost heap and cover some plants, like strawberries to keep the birds out, and build a trellis for cucumbers and peas. Very good use for the money, and much cheaper than our local garden supply store.
