This net works great, but the only drawback is that it acts as an insulator. You might have to sleep with the AC on if you are in a hot humid climate. I have never been bitten when using the net tent;)

In fact, it's difficult to detect any difference between the so-called reflecting part and the ordinary flat part of the red plastic lens. So, if all you need is a piece of white-and-red plastic, this will do. In snow county, you should spend more for a more visible product.

(More customer reviews)This is a really handy saw to have around, especially if you already have Black & Decker 18V slide-style batteries. I also have the Black & Decker 18V string trimmer, blower, hedge trimmer, jigsaw, and 2 drills, all of which I really like. It's nice to be able to use the same batteries for all my tools. Firestorm and Black & Decker 18V batteries are pretty much interchangeable, or at least the ones I have are. This recip saw does a good job cutting through tree limbs. I've used it to cut branches up to 4" in diameter, and it worked just fine. And it works well on 2x4's too.
You could buy a more powerful saw, but you would either have to deal with the inconvenience of the power cord, or the added expense of buying different batteries and charger if you went with the Dewalt for example. To buy a Dewalt 18V will run you $200.00 for a kit with a battery and charger. No thanks! I don't need to demolish buildings or cut through 1/8" think steel, so my Firestorm recip saw will do just fine.

I tried to cut my yellowing lily pad stems but you can't make it cut. I am ordering another brand to try that is made of metal and has good reviews. I wish I had not wasted my money on this.

Centrifugal Blower 115 Volts Fasco # A212 Review

(More customer reviews)The A212 blower is commonly used on wood pellet and coal stoves. My old blower gave up the ghost after 10 years of service and neglect. The tiny 10-32 mounting bolts broke over time (a stove design error). The replacement A212 was a perfect match. I increased the bolt size to 1/4-20's and used 314 stainless steel for longevity and the ability to remove the blower for thorough annual cleanings (something that couldn't be done before - snapping the little bolts). The unit is assembled quite well, pushes a good volume of air for its size, and it is nearly silent at normal run speeds. As one may expect, it is a bit noisy at full r.p.m's. The unit arrived within a week and other than the normal electrical connections was ready to go. I highly recommend both the unit and the seller. This unit would also be excellent to cool brake rotors, baked goods, etc. in an industrial applications. It has easily removable grills for cleaning the twin squirrel cage fans.

Homax 6100 Ceiling Texture Scraper Review

(More customer reviews)I've scraped the popcorn ceilings off all the ceiling in my house. I bought this when I started, thinking it would help. I've since switched over to a 10" taping knife instead.
Sure you *can* attach a plastic bag to it while you're scraping, but it won't catch everything and the weight of the bag as it fills up will hinder effective scraping of the ceiling, increasing the liklihood of gouging. Bottom line: Scraping popcorn ceilings is messy business - put down painter's plastic and go at it.
Far better IMO is to simply use a 10" or 12" taping knife (like a putty knife, except lots wider). I still use a 2" and 4" taping knife for getting around light fixtures easily.
Although the ability to attach a handle and avoid climbing up and down a ladder may seem appealing at first, it reduces the control of the scraper and increases the liklihood of gouging the ceiling. Better to use a bench of some sort to reach those typical 8 or 9' ceilings. Also, the bag attachment make it impossible to scrape parallel to the edges of the room (to avoid getting under the joint tape).

The trimmer works well didn't experience any problems after I used it a couple of times cuts well and even. However don't expect a trimmer that can cut exceptionally thick branches! As stated can cut up to 3/8" I would say probably that or a little less. For the reviewer that experienced severe problems... overheating and burn out, I suspect you may have used an extension cord that was not the correct gauge for the instrument... that can and would cause what you experienced with your machine. Personally would recommend this for the average gardener that just wants to keep hedges and shrubs in a neat manner.

Vacancy Sensor Switch, Ivory Review

(More customer reviews)Installed one of these for the garage, and while it works, it's not as good as it could be.
First off - corrections. This switch is designed for 120v operation only, so disregard the descriptions that says otherwise. In the printed materials, it says the default is 10 minutes, and that it's self learning; I didn't find that to be the case at all.
With that said, there is one big aspect going for this switch, and that is that no neutral wire is required, offering a lot of versatility in retrofit applications. There are 3 wires total - one hot, one switched, and one ground. Unlike some units, this is suitable for fluorescent loads.
The button is very easy to push; it's the entire upper portion of the switch.
So why just 4 stars? Well, the first day in use, I was finding it turning off within a minute or two, not even close to the 10 minutes it said its default is. That got annoying very quickly ... which leads to the next aspect - setting the shutoff time delay. It's dipswitch positions 1-4, none of which is marked on the unit itself. You must refer to the documentation for the proper delay setting; for 10 minutes, numbers 2 and 4 will have to be switched on.
The button/cover latch is at the top of the switch, and visible when installed. It would've been nicer if was concealed.
Cooper says it's suitable for rooms up to 450 sq.ft. ... but its coverage is actually just 300 sq.ft.; I found the sensitivity to be marginal after 15', even though it's supposed to sense up to 20' in length.
Despite the flaws, it's not a bad product ... but it's not the greatest either. Consider it if it's cheaper than the competition.
